        SJTU Professor Appointed as Associate Editor-in-Chief of Biomaterials Science

        Recently, Professor Zhu Xinyuan was appointed as the associate editor-in-chief of the journal Biomaterials Science.

        Professor Zhu Xinyuan is now dean of Office of Research Management, SJTU. He obtained his bachelor's and master's degree in Donghua University and doctor's degree in Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 1994, 1997 and 2001 respectively. After graduation, Professor Zhu Xinyuan worked as a postdoctoral fellow in the Institut de Science et d'Ingénierie Supramoléculaires (ISIS) in France. His research fields mainly include highly branched polymers and biomedical materials. By now he has been granted more than thirty National Invention Patents and published more than 200 research papers. In 2006, he was selected into the "Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University" and "Shanghai Rising-star Program". In 2007, he won the first prize of Shanghai Natural Science & Technology Awards. In 2008, he was selected for the 11th Fok Ying Tung Foundation and "Shanghai Shuguang Plan". In 2009, he won the second prize of the National Natural Science Awards. In 2010, he received National Science Found for Distinguished Young Scholars of China. In 2011, he was put on the candidate list of the "Shanghai Science & Technology Rising-star Program". In 2019, he was chosen for the "Changjiang Scholars Program of China".

        Published by Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), Biomaterials Science is an internationally renowned journal (IF: 5.831) exploring biomaterial science and clinical application. It mainly publishes research on new concepts in biomaterials design and studies on the interaction of biomaterials and the body.
